From here, we ride south through the heart of Bohemia, following a carefully curated route that connects some of the Czech Republic's most iconic and lesser-known regions.
Our journey takes us through historic towns such as Kutná Hora, Telč and Třeboň, before arriving in the fairytale setting of Český Krumlov — widely regarded as one of the most picturesque towns in Europe.
Along the way, the landscape unfolds in a constantly changing rhythm — rolling farmland, dense forests, peaceful lakes and quiet country roads linking castles, cathedrals, and UNESCO-listed heritage sites that reflect centuries of Czech history.
This is more than just a cycling tour. It's a journey through the culture and character of the region — with opportunities to explore Gothic cathedrals, medieval towns, and even experience the birthplace of the original Budweiser beer.
As always with ROLT, the riding is designed to be enjoyable and achievable — leaving plenty of time to immerse yourself in the local culture, cuisine, and the simple pleasure of sharing a great meal (and a great beer) at the end of each day.

After arrival and check-in, we'll gather in the hotel reception just before midday to set out on a three-hour introductory walking tour of Prague with a professional local guide. In the evening, we'll reunite for a welcome dinner and orientation, marking the beginning of our journey together.
Day 2 – Prague to Kutná Hora
As we journey through vibrant villages and expansive meadows, we'll arrive in the captivating town of Kutná Hora, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once a formidable rival to Prague in the 15th century, this medieval gem flourished through its silver mines and minting industry. In the afternoon, a guided exploration includes the magnificent Cathedral of St. Barbara.
Day 3 – Kutná Hora to Humpolec
Through sweeping countryside and ever-changing landscapes, we'll arrive in Humpolec, historically a hub for silver mining and later textiles. The town is home to one of the Czech Republic's last traditional breweries, still crafting unpasteurised beer — you'll have the chance to sample a glass of the renowned Bernard beer.
Day 4 – Humpolec to Telč
Today's ride leads us to the stunning 13th-century town of Telč, with beautifully maintained Renaissance architecture. In the afternoon, a guided tour of the local château, followed by time at leisure to wander the elegant main square.
Day 5 – Telč to Nová Byštřice via Slavonice
Quiet country roads winding through gently rolling countryside often called "Czech Canada" for its natural beauty. Our day concludes in Nová Byštřice, with the Austrian border just three kilometres away.
Day 6 – Nová Byštřice to Třeboň via Jindřichův Hradec
Winding back roads through charming hamlets and some of Europe's oldest nature reserves, past lakes originally created for fish farming as early as the 1500s. Our destination, Třeboň, dates back to the 11th century. Explore the Renaissance château gardens and perhaps a beer at the 16th-century Regent brewery.
Day 7 – Třeboň to České Budějovice
The provincial capital of southern Bohemia and birthplace of the original Budvar (Budweiser) beer. We'll tour the renowned brewery and explore the town's impressive Baroque and Renaissance main square.
Day 8 – České Budějovice to Český Krumlov
Gentle foothills with sweeping views of the Šumava Mountains, passing the country's most significant monastery, Zlatá Koruna. We continue to Český Krumlov, a medieval UNESCO World Heritage town of remarkable charm.
