Our story: born from a shared passion.
Rides of a Lifetime began with two long-time friends, Mark and Paul, who shared a deep passion for cycling, adventure, and discovering the world beyond the typical tourist experience. What started as a mutual love of riding soon evolved into a vision, creating unforgettable journeys that allowed others to experience incredible destinations in a far more meaningful and immersive way.
They quickly realised there was no better way to truly connect with a country, its people, culture, landscapes, and hidden gems than from the saddle of a bike, travelling alongside like-minded people who shared the same spirit of adventure and curiosity.
From quiet countryside roads and historic villages to vibrant cities, local cuisine, and authentic cultural encounters, the experiences found along the journey became just as important as the riding itself. This philosophy remains at the very heart of Rides of a Lifetime today.
Over the past nine years, Mark and Paul have continued to build Rides of a Lifetime around the values that inspired them from the very beginning - genuine experiences, small-group travel, personal connections, cultural immersion, and creating memorable adventures that stay with people long after the tour has ended.

Our tours are deliberately kept small, with a maximum of 15 guests and an experienced support team, ensuring every journey feels relaxed, welcoming, and comfortable.
We work closely with trusted local guides and partners we have built strong relationships with over many years, allowing us to offer genuine cultural immersion and unique experiences beyond the typical tourist path. Behind every Rides of a Lifetime journey is a passionate and dedicated team who genuinely love creating unforgettable travel experiences. Founded by long-time friends Mark Taylor and Paul Archer, ROLT is proudly hands-on, with Mark and Paul personally leading every tour alongside their partners, Debbie and Leona, who provide invaluable support and assistance throughout each journey.
Together, we are a close-knit team of four who share a love for cycling, travel, culture, and bringing people together through shared adventure. Supported by our long-standing international partners and trusted local guides, we work hard to ensure every tour delivers a relaxed, authentic, and memorable experience from beginning to end.
